Creamy Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Tortellini

Tender cheese tortellini and juicy shrimp come together in a rich garlic Parmesan cream sauce. This comforting pasta dish is quick to prepare and perfect for an easy dinner.

Ingredients

1 lb (450 g) cheese tortellini

1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup heavy cream

3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Preparation

1. Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

2. Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet. Cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, then remove from the skillet.

3. Add the remaining butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Add Parmesan and Italian seasoning, then simmer gently until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.

5. Add the cooked tortellini and shrimp. Toss gently until everything is evenly coated in the creamy sauce.

6. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
